Small-diameter tubes and oily formulas are the two things that make lip labels lift, so we address both. We spec a film and adhesive rated for tight curves, so the label grips a narrow barrel instead of springing back at the seam. Then a protective overlaminate or coating on top helps the surface resist the oils and friction from constant handling. For oval or flat-sided tubes, we adjust the wrap so the label follows the curve without puckering. Requesting a free sample pack first is worth considering, so you can see how the material behaves on your own container.

Lip products are regulated by the FDA, and most plain balms and lipsticks are treated as cosmetics. A typical cosmetic label includes:

• Product name and what it is
• Brand name and logo
• Net quantity of contents (in ounces and grams)
• Ingredient list in descending order by weight
• Name and place of business (manufacturer, packer, or distributor)
• Any needed warnings, plus batch or lot codes if you track them

If your product includes an active drug ingredient, such as SPF sunscreen or a medicated ingredient like menthol or camphor, the FDA generally treats it as an over-the-counter drug. That usually means a Drug Facts panel and an active-ingredient statement, which changes your layout. Requirements and small-package allowances change over time, so it is worth confirming the current FDA guidance or checking with a labeling consultant before you print. We will make sure your artwork leaves room for the panel you need.

Yes. We can add a perforated seal that wraps around the cap and breaks when the tube is twisted open, which gives you tamper evidence for retail. The seal can match your brand look, hold up through shipping, and still come off easily for the customer. Tell us your container and we will spec the right seal.

Yes. Our printers can match up to 97% of the full color spectrum, so your brand colors stay consistent across every shade and every reorder of your lip balm and lipstick labels. We use expanded CMYK printing with additional ink sets (white, orange, violet, and green) to reach colors that standard four-color printing can miss. Because there are no printing plates, adding a new shade later still matches the labels you already have.
