For a craft or heritage feel, textured and felt-style papers work well, and we add a moisture-resistant coating so they hold up. Gin spends time around ice and condensation, so we usually steer paper choices toward a protective coating or a film so the label doesn’t wrinkle or lift.

Yes, when it’s built for it. Gin bottles sit in ice buckets and coolers behind the bar, and they sweat when they come out of a freezer. Labels printed on waterproof BOPP film with a permanent adhesive stand up to that moisture without lifting at the edges. Paper stocks can work too, as long as we add a protective laminate or varnish. We can add a screen-printed white layer behind parts of the artwork if you want certain elements to stay solid and opaque.

Yes. Hot foil stamping in gold, silver, and copper is a common choice for gin, and it pairs well with embossing or debossing to add texture you can feel. We also offer spot varnish, high-build screen printing, and holographic films. These finishes work on both film and paper stocks, so you can combine a durable material with the premium look the category expects.

Gin is a distilled spirit, so its labeling falls under the federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), not the FDA. In general, TTB requires elements like the brand name, the class and type (gin), the alcohol content, the net contents, the name and address of the bottler or importer, and the Government Warning statement. Most distilled spirits sold across state lines also need a Certificate of Label Approval (COLA) before they go to market. Rules and formatting details do change, so it’s worth confirming the current requirements directly with the TTB or a compliance specialist before you print. We’ll make sure your artwork leaves room for the mandatory copy.

Before printing your custom gin labels, we’ll send a digital proof by email for your approval, so you can check the artwork, copy, and finishes before anything runs.
