Yes. There’s no minimum, so 25 or 50 labels per product is fine. Your shampoo, conditioner, hair oil, and styling cream can each have their own design on one order. Adding a design doesn’t add a plate charge, since we print digitally. Launch the whole line, then reorder the products that sell.

Yes, if they’re printed on film. Paper soaks up water, and after a few showers it wrinkles and peels. We typically recommend white or clear BOPP (a water-resistant plastic film) with a laminate on top, plus an adhesive that holds when the bottle is wet. For hair oils, serums, and pomades, the laminate matters even more, since oily fingers smear unprotected ink. Let us know which products go in the shower and which stay on the counter, and we’ll pick the right material for each.

A squeezable film. A standard label can crease or crack where the tube flexes every time someone uses it. For squeezable tubes, we use MDO, a flexible film (clear or white) that bends with the tube and lies flat again, finished with a varnish that flexes along with it. If your tube has a crimped end, keep the label clear of that seal.

Use hot foil when you want a bright, mirror-like accent, and metallic ink or metallic film when you want a softer shimmer.

• Hot foil stamping gives the brightest metallic, so save it for a logo or product name.
• Metallic film makes the whole label metallic. We print white ink behind the areas that shouldn’t shine.
• Silver ink prints like any other color. It reads as metallic, but softer than foil.

For a salon look, one foil detail on a matte background usually looks more expensive than foil everywhere.

Yes, with clear BOPP film. The label material disappears on the bottle, so your design looks printed right onto it. On colored or amber bottles, we print a layer of white ink under your text and logo so they stay readable against the bottle. If you’re applying clear labels by hand, expect a little practice to avoid trapped air bubbles.

• Plastic bottles (flip-top or pump) – Perfect for shampoos, conditioners, and treatments. We recommend durable synthetics like BOPP with a laminate finish to stand up to water and humidity in bathrooms.

• Jars and tubs – Used for hair masks, pomades, waxes, and creams. Wrap-around labels with an optional lid label work well here. We suggest vinyl or BOPP with oil-resistant finishes to handle contact with thicker products.

• Spray cans and bottles – Common for hairsprays, mists, and heat protectants. Full-body shrink sleeves conform to curved or tapered shapes, while regular peel-and-stick labels work well for smaller runs.

• Tubes (squeeze or stand-up) – Great for gels, creams, and styling mousses. Depending on the surface, we can use flexible film labels or recommend finishes that resist cracking as the tube is squeezed.

• Small bottles with droppers or pumps – Ideal for serums, oils, and scalp treatments. Clear or white BOPP with a gloss or matte laminate keeps labels crisp even with oily residue.

• Pouches and refill packs – An eco-friendly option for shampoos and conditioners. Labels need to flex with the package, so thin film materials are a smart choice for this format.

• Laminates (gloss, matte, or soft-touch) – A clear protective layer that guards against water, oils, and abrasion. Gloss makes colors vibrant, matte creates a sleek modern look, and soft-touch adds a velvety texture.

• UV varnishes – A liquid coating cured with UV light for extra moisture and scuff resistance. Available in gloss or matte, or as spot UV to highlight specific details.

• Foil stamping – Metallic accents in gold, silver, or custom colors that add a premium feel to products like serums or treatments.

• Embossing and debossing – Raised or pressed textures that give your label a tactile, high-end finish.

• Spot finishes – Use gloss, foil, or varnish in targeted areas (like your logo or product name).

We don’t design labels in house, but we can point you to people who do. Our directory of Blue Label Approved designers lists designers who know how labels print, and our gallery of past label designs is there for ideas. If your design started in Canva or an AI image tool, a designer can rebuild it into a print-ready file. We check every file against our artwork checklist before printing and let you know if anything needs fixing.

Yes. Before we print your hair product labels, we email you a digital proof to approve. Check it for spelling, positioning, size, and every required detail, since what you approve is what we print. A screen can’t show exactly how a color or material will look in hand, so order our free sample pack if that matters for your launch.

Our printers are capable of matching up to 97% of the full color spectrum, allowing us to achieve precise color reproduction for your hair product labels. We use advanced CMYK printing to produce an extensive gamut of colors. For designs requiring an expanded range, we also print using WOVG ink sets which add white, orange, violet and green.
