When designing lip balm labels, it’s important to meet labeling requirements. Here’s a list of what should be included:

    • Product Name: Clearly state the name of the product to help consumers identify it easily.
    • Brand Name and Logo: Display your brand name and logo prominently for brand recognition.
    • Net Weight/Volume: Include the net weight or volume, typically in both ounces (oz) and grams (g), for example, “Net Wt. 0.15 oz (4.25 g).”
    • Ingredient List: List all ingredients, including both active and inactive ingredients, in descending order by weight. This is important for consumers with allergies or sensitivities.
    • Drug Facts Panel (if applicable): If your lip balm contains active ingredients such as SPF, include a Drug Facts panel as required by the FDA, outlining the active ingredients, their purpose, uses, warnings, and directions for use.
    • Warnings or Cautions: Include any necessary safety warnings, such as “For external use only,” or “Keep out of reach of children.”
    • Directions for Use: Provide clear instructions on how to use the lip balm.
    • Manufacturer Information: Include the name and contact information of the manufacturer or distributor, including the company name, address, and website.
    • Batch Number and Expiration Date: Ensure traceability with a batch number and indicate the product’s shelf life with an expiration date.
    • Product Claims: Highlight any specific claims, such as “organic,” “natural,” or “SPF 15.”
    • Barcodes or QR Codes: Include a UPC barcode for retail scanning and a QR code if you wish to link to additional online information.
    • Certifications and Logos: Display any relevant certifications, like USDA Organic or cruelty-free logos, to add credibility.
    • Country of Origin: State where the product was made, such as “Made in USA.”

Yes, we offer custom lip balm labels that include a perforated seal for added product security and consumer trust. Here’s what you can expect from our tamper-evident labeling options:

    • Integrated Perforated Seal: Our labels can be designed with an integrated perforated seal that wraps around the cap, ensuring that the product is protected until it reaches the consumer. This perforated seal breaks easily when the cap is twisted, providing clear evidence that the product has not been tampered with.
    • Tamper-Evident Tab: We offer labels with a tamper-evident tab, which adds an extra layer of security by making it immediately apparent if the product has been opened or altered. This feature is particularly important for maintaining consumer trust and meeting regulatory requirements.
    • Customizable Security Seal: Our security seals can be customized to match your brand’s aesthetics. Whether you want to include your logo, brand colors, or a promotional message, our tamper-evident labels can be tailored to fit your specific needs.
    • Application and Durability: Our perforated seals are designed for easy application during the packaging process and adhere securely to a variety of lip balm containers. They are durable enough to stay intact during shipping and handling but are also easy for consumers to remove when they’re ready to use the product.

We provide custom labels for a wide variety of lip protection and beauty products, including:

    • Lip Balm Tubes: We offer custom chapstick labels for standard lip balm tubes, perfect for plastic containers that are commonly used in lip balm packaging. Our labels are designed to adhere securely and withstand daily use.

    • Lip Gloss Labels: We create custom labels for lip gloss containers, whether they are plastic tubes, glass bottles, or other types of packaging. These labels are designed to maintain their clarity and adhesion even in high-moisture environments.
    • Lip Balm Containers: For products that come in small pots, jars, or other unique lip balm containers, we offer labels that fit perfectly.
    • Lip Butter and Lip Serum Labels: If your beauty products include lip butters or lip serums packaged in glass bottles, oil dropper bottles, or small jars, we provide labels that are both attractive and functional.

Before printing your custom lip balm labels, we will provide a digital proof via email for your approval. This allows you to review your label, confirming details like positioning, color accuracy, text legibility, and more, prior to full production. We are committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction through this streamlined proofing process.

While Blue Label Packaging does not directly offer label design services, we do have resources to help with your custom label design needs. We maintain a directory of Blue Label Approved designers who specialize in label design and understand the unique requirements and technical details involved. We also showcase a gallery of label designs for inspiration.

Our printers are capable of matching up to 97% of the full color spectrum, allowing us to achieve precise color reproduction for your beer labels. We use advanced CMYK printing to produce an extensive gamut of colors. For designs requiring an expanded range, we also print using WOVG ink sets which add white, orange, violet and green.

Our top-of-the-line color management program and processes ensure we hit the correct hues, tints and shades. We color calibrate and profile all of our presses so your unique color palettes and gradations print true to your vision.
