Glass Bottle Labels

Your label’s the first thing people notice, and on a glass bottle, it needs to do a lot more than just look good. It has to stand up to moisture, temperature swings, and constant handling, whether it’s headed for a fridge, an ice bucket, or a retail shelf.

We print custom labels that stay put, stay sharp, and match the quality of what’s inside. With durable materials, strong adhesives, and a wide variety of finishes, we help your bottles look good for the long-run.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely, they’re built for it. Our labels are designed to hold up on glass bottles through everything from cold storage to hot-fill processes. Here’s how we make sure your labels stick and stay:

    • We use pressure-sensitive adhesives that bond tightly to glass and stay put even when exposed to moisture or condensation.
    • We match the adhesive to your product’s environment, so whether your bottles are refrigerated, frozen, or filled hot, the label stays right where it should.
    • We apply protective coatings to guard against scuffing, water, and UV exposure, keeping your design sharp and readable.

We’ve tested these materials in real-world conditions, so you can count on your labels to perform.

It depends on where your product’s headed—cold storage, dry shelves, or something in between. Here’s what we typically recommend based on performance and appearance:

  • BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) – This is our go-to for most glass bottle products. It’s moisture-resistant, holds up to temperature changes, and keeps your design looking sharp. We pair it with a high-tack acrylic adhesive that sticks firmly to glass, even in cold or damp conditions.
  • Shrink Sleeves – If you need full-bottle coverage or have a contoured shape, shrink sleeves are a great choice. Since they shrink to fit without adhesive, there’s no risk of peeling from moisture or cold. They also add tamper-evidence and extra scuff protection.
  • Paper Labels (with upgrades) – For products stored in dry environments, paper can work well—especially with a protective laminate or varnish to add durability. We’ll still match it with an adhesive that bonds cleanly to glass and holds up through normal handling.

We’ll help you choose the right materials and adhesives based on your fill process, storage conditions, and design goals.

We offer shipping through several vendors like UPS, Fedex, and USPS. Ground, Next-Day, 2-Day, 3-Day, and custom freight options.

Our preferred file formats are Adobe Illustrator or High-Resolution PDF.  You can view our complete artwork file standards checklist here.

Before printing your custom Glass Bottle labels, we will provide a digital proof via email for your approval. This allows you to review your label, confirming details like positioning, color accuracy, text legibility, and more, prior to full production. We are committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction through this streamlined proofing process.

While Blue Label Packaging does not directly offer label design services, we do have resources to help with your custom label design needs. We maintain a directory of Blue Label Approved designers who specialize in label design and understand the unique requirements and technical details involved. We also showcase a gallery of label designs for inspiration.

Our printers are capable of matching up to 97% of the full color spectrum, allowing us to achieve precise color reproduction for your beer labels. We use advanced CMYK printing to produce an extensive gamut of colors. For designs requiring an expanded range, we also print using WOVG ink sets which add white, orange, violet and green.

Our top-of-the-line color management program and processes ensure we hit the correct hues, tints and shades. We color calibrate and profile all of our presses so your unique color palettes and gradations print true to your vision.
