Custom Protein Bar Labels

Custom Protein Bar Labels

With protein bars, shoppers scan for the protein number, the macros, and a brand that reads clean and serious, all in the second or two. We print custom protein bar labels that carry that look and hold up to real life, from the chocolate and nut oils inside the bar to the gym bag it gets tossed into.

Tell us your format and your quantity, and we’ll help identify the right material and finish. No minimums, so you can launch a flavor without committing to thousands of units up front.

Labels for the way your bars are packaged

Labels for the way your bars are packaged

Most single bars ship in a printed flow-wrap, which is usually handled through your co-packer. Where we come in is everything around and beyond that wrapper: wrap-around labels for bars you package yourself, labels for tubs, jars, and canisters, and labels for resealable multipack pouches and retail cartons. If you're not sure which parts we can print for your setup, just ask.
Built to handle oil, heat, and handling

Built to handle oil, heat, and handling

Protein bars are full of oils that can migrate to the surface. They also get handled a lot, thrown in bags, left in a warm car, carried to the gym. We spec materials that resist grease and oil so the label doesn't stain or lift, and matte or soft-touch finishes hide the fingerprints and scuffs that come with an on-the-go product.
Finishes that match your brand

Finishes that match your brand

The look you choose tells the shopper what kind of bar this is. Matte and soft-touch look clean and health-forward. Metallic, foil, and spot gloss look bold and performance-driven, which is where a lot of protein and pre-workout brands land. We offer both on food-safe materials, so you can match the finish to your brand.
High print quality where the details matter

High print quality where the details matter

Full-color printing holds fine detail, which matters more here than in most categories. Your Nutrition Facts panel, protein claim, and allergen statement all have to be sharp and legible, and your brand colors have to stay consistent. That's what keeps your bar looking trustworthy on the shelf and compliant in the aisle.

Frequently Asked Questions

The main job is resisting oil and grease so nothing bleeds through or stains the surface.

For the primary flow-wrap, high-barrier films (materials that block moisture, oxygen, and light) are the standard, since they also slow the chocolate bloom and drying that hurt shelf life. That wrapper is a form-fill-seal job, so it’s typically supplied through your co-packer rather than printed as a label.

For the labels and sleeves we do print, on tubs, canisters, pouches, and cartons, we use grease-resistant materials suited to each surface. Tell us what’s in the bar and how it’s packaged, and we’ll match the material to it.

For retail sale, you’ll generally need a Nutrition Facts panel, an ingredient list, an allergen “Contains” statement, the net weight, and your business name and address. Protein bars carry common allergens like whey, soy, tree nuts, and peanuts, so allergen labeling matters a lot here. Requirements can change, so it’s worth confirming the current FDA rules for your specific product before you print. We’ll make sure the artwork has room for everything.

Major allergens have to be called out clearly, usually in a “Contains” statement, and tree nuts are typically named by type (for example “almonds” rather than just “tree nuts”). Soy lecithin generally counts as soy, so it gets declared as soy (for example “lecithin (soy)”), and sesame is now treated as a major allergen too. This is an area where it pays to check the current FDA requirements for your recipe, since a missing allergen callout is a serious problem. We’ll make sure your allergen statement has a clear place on the label.

We offer shipping through several vendors like UPS, Fedex, and USPS. Ground, Next-Day, 2-Day, 3-Day, and custom freight options.

Our preferred file formats are Adobe Illustrator or High-Resolution PDF.  You can view our complete artwork file standards checklist here.

Before printing your custom bbq sauce labels, we will provide a digital proof via email for your approval. This allows you to review your label, confirming details like positioning, color accuracy, text legibility, and more, prior to full production. We are committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction through this streamlined proofing process.

While Blue Label Packaging does not directly offer label design services, we do have resources to help with your custom label design needs. We maintain a directory of Blue Label Approved designers who specialize in label design and understand the unique requirements and technical details involved. We also showcase a gallery of label designs for inspiration.

Our top-of-the-line color management program and processes ensure we hit the correct hues, tints and shades. We color calibrate and profile all of our presses so your unique color palettes and gradations print true to your vision.
