Custom Jerky Labels

Custom Jerky Labels

Jerky is a greasy, oily product, and that’s exactly what makes labeling it tricky. Oil works its way to the surface of the bag, and a standard label will smear, lift, or peel at the edges before the pouch ever reaches a shelf. We print custom jerky labels on waterproof materials with adhesives made to hold on oily surfaces, so your label looks as good in a customer’s hand as it did the day it was printed.

Whether you run stand-up resealable pouches, lay-flat bags, vacuum-sealed bags, or jars, we’ll help you pick the right material and finish for your product and print the exact number you need. No minimums, and no ordering thousands of a flavor you’re still testing.

Wide Variety of Label Shapes and Sizes

Wide Variety of Label Shapes and Sizes

We print wrap-around labels, front-and-back sets, and die-cut shapes for stand-up resealable pouches, lay-flat three-seal bags, vacuum-sealed bags, clear-window barrier bags, and jars. If you buy plain label-ready pouches and apply the label yourself, we'll size the artwork to fit the panel you're working with.
Labels that Stand Up to Grease

Labels that Stand Up to Grease

We recommend waterproof BOPP paired with an adhesive made for oily surfaces so the label stays put and the print stays sharp. The same build holds up to refrigeration, condensation, and handling. And because pouches flex, we use a material that bends with the bag instead of cracking at the seams.
Wide Range of Materials and Finishes

Wide Range of Materials and Finishes

We offer matte, soft-touch matte, gloss, and metallic finishes on food-safe materials. Matte and soft-touch cut glare under retail lighting. Gloss and metallic give you brighter color and more shine if that fits your look. If you're not sure which way to go, that's what samples are for.
High Print Quality

High Print Quality

Full-color printing keeps your brand colors consistent from the run to run, and holds fine detail on ingredient statement, allergen callouts, and nutrition panel. Sharp, legible small type isn't only about looks here. It's what keeps your label readable and compliant.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on what your jerky is made of, because that decides who regulates it:

  • Beef, pork, and poultry jerky is regulated by the USDA. Those labels need a product name, the USDA inspection legend with your establishment number, a net weight statement, an ingredient list, and your business name and address.
  • Plant-based, seafood, and most exotic-meat jerky generally falls under the FDA instead, which doesn’t use the inspection legend or establishment number.

Either way, you’ll typically need a Nutrition Facts panel and clear allergen callouts (soy and wheat are common in jerky marinades). True jerky is shelf-stable by definition, but moister, less-dried styles that still need refrigeration may call for a “Keep Refrigerated” or “Refrigerate After Opening” statement. Rules change and your product is specific to you, so it’s worth confirming the exact requirements with the USDA or FDA before you print. We’re happy to make sure your artwork leaves room for everything you need.

Waterproof BOPP film or vinyl, paired with an adhesive formulated for oily surfaces. Jerky oil migrates to the outside of the package over time, and that’s what lifts standard labels and smears ink. A waterproof film plus a strong, high-tack adhesive is built to hold on that surface and keep the print clean. Tell us your package type and we can point you to the right combination.

Both work, and it comes down to your look and your workflow. Matte and soft-touch cut glare and take a handwritten batch or date code, which a lot of small-batch makers rely on. Gloss and metallic give you brighter color and more shine.

Our post on glossy, satin, and matte labels walks through the differences, and a sample pack lets you feel them side by side.
