Custom Energy Drink Labels

For most energy drink brands, it comes down to run size and coverage:

• Shrink sleeves wrap the full can edge to edge, which suits the bold, all-over designs the category favors, but they need a heat or steam tunnel to apply.
• Pressure-sensitive labels are the lower-cost, easier-to-apply option and work well for front-of-can designs.
• Printed cans give the best cost per can at scale, but the minimums typically start a little higher. Sleeves and labels let you get to market first, and we can move you to printed cans as your volume grows.

Yes. Shrink sleeves are reverse-printed, so the ink sits under the film where it can’t scuff, and there’s no adhesive edge to peel. Pressure-sensitive labels on waterproof BOPP with a permanent adhesive stand up to the same ice-and-condensation conditions. Either way, we spec the material for the environment your can will live in.

It depends on how your product is marketed.

If it’s sold as a conventional beverage, it generally carries a Nutrition Facts panel. If it’s marketed as a dietary supplement (more common for concentrated energy shots), it uses a Supplement Facts panel instead.

It’s worth confirming with the FDA or a labeling consultant before you print.

Any added caffeine has to appear in your ingredient list, but there’s currently no federal rule requiring you to print the total milligrams of caffeine on the can. A lot of brands choose to show it anyway, because customers increasingly look for it. It’s smart to check the current FDA guidance before you finalize your label.

Yes. Metallic effects, foil, spot gloss, and bright saturated color are commonly used, and they hold up on both shrink sleeves and BOPP labels. If you want something extra, cold-activated inks that change color when the can gets cold are a fun option. We’ll help you get the bold look without giving up durability.

Yes. Digital printing means no plates, so each flavor can have its own artwork, colors, and nutrition panel in the same run without the cost stacking up. That makes launching a lineup, or adding a seasonal flavor later, straightforward.
